Seriously had an awfulokay→awful→TERRIBLE→promising→PERFECT→EVEN MORE PERFECT→tiring→relaxing day

The “EVEN MORE PERFECT” part:

* I am now in this amazing class where every Tuesday night, we visit all the amazing art museums/private collections in Dallas (the teacher used to be a curator at the .

* The only grade is a paper at the end of the class and a journal where we ‘discuss our feelings’ about art.

* Our first class was a virtual lecture through skype.

* I’m stoked.

Even though it is an easy feat for almost everyone here, it’s probably one of the few “achievements” I really like. For me, almost everything is a game, grinding and working hard to get something. But this wasn’t a chore, it was a companion, a happy aesthetically pleasing friend.

I’ve learned some important things recently.

It’s the easiest thing in the world to trust someone. Really, it is. We all start out this way, trusting and easily led to believe that if I tell one something, one will listen and understand and not go mocking behind someone else’s back. It’s a sad thing, because I think that as we stop being children, we give up that part of divinity within us and hungrily adapt to humanity’s view of trust - and it’s conniving and relentless and whispers amused and conspiratorily.

But as always, work prevails. Physics test tomorrow. Statistics practice tests and review session Sunday. AP Chemistry practice tests and review sessions. History reading. The Great Gatsby. Even though it’s difficult, I’ll squeeze my mind through this narrow valve and not let other distracting thoughts filter in.

Today has been a mixture of several different things.

Took practice SAT Subject Tests today. Literature was fairly easy. Chemistry went above my head, save for 30 or so questions. So obviously, some studying is to be required.

An Ad Interim To Do List:

  • Physics Review.
  • Statistics Studying.
  • CHEMISTRY STUDY LIKE NO TOMORROW.
  • LEAP ENGLISH/Finish Gatsby + cards
  • LEAP History/ read the last few chapters.

People I Like

  • Haruki Murakami
  • My beloved English teacher
  • People who complimented my general look today. That was very, very pleasant :)
  • The virtuous cream of the crop
  • Brahms and Liszt
  • Cast of Leonard Bernstein’s Candide
  • Not a person, but rainy days that make the surroundings appear luminous on a canvas of a dark sky.

People I Generally Do Not Like

  • Rudyard Kipling
  • Histrionic writers who use saturated rhetoric
  • The man (men) who concocted the Chemistry Subject Test
  • The deceitful cream of the crop
  • Not a person, but driving on a dark, rainy day.
  • Not a person, but reading an assigned book I have no particular interest in.

That’s all, I suppose.
